Abstract:

Prakriti, a key concept in Ayurveda, refers to the unique constitution of an individual, characterized by the relative dominance of three doshas: Vata, Pitta, and Kapha. The balance or imbalance of these doshas governs an individual's physical, mental, and emotional state. Ayurvedic dietary practices, particularly prakriti-based diets, are tailored to maintain or restore the balance of these doshas, promoting health and preventing diseases. This paper explores the relevance of prakriti-based diets in modern healthcare, emphasizing their potential role in improving digestion, mental health, and managing chronic diseases. The growing interest in personalized nutrition aligns closely with Ayurvedic principles, highlighting the potential for integrating these ancient practices into modern medicine.
